Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask Forge Creative Studios to delete all the data we hold about you, including everything we received from Facebook or Instagram through our app. You don't need a reason. This page explains how.

1. Remove the app from Facebook or Instagram

This stops our app from accessing your accounts from that moment on.

Facebook

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy > Settings.
2. Open Apps and websites (for Pages, open Business integrations).
3. Find the Forge Creative Studios app and select Remove.

Instagram

1. Open Instagram and go to Settings and activity.
2. Open Website permissions > Apps and websites, or the business integrations section of your Meta Business settings.
3. Find the Forge Creative Studios app and select Remove.

Menu names change from time to time. If you can't find these options, the email request below works on its own.

2. Ask us to delete your data

Email byron@forgestudio.co.za with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include:

• your name;
• the Facebook Page(s) or Instagram account(s) you connected; and
• the email address we can reply to.

We may ask you to confirm that you control the account before we delete anything, so that nobody else can delete your data.

3. What we delete

• access tokens for your Facebook and Instagram accounts;
• your Meta user ID, name and profile picture, and the IDs, names and profile pictures of your connected Pages and Instagram accounts;
• performance metrics we retrieved for your accounts; and
• scheduled content and publishing records linked to your accounts.

Removing the app or deleting data in our tool does not delete posts already published on Facebook or Instagram. You can delete those on Facebook or Instagram directly.

4. Timeline

• We confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days.
• We complete deletion within 30 days and email you when it is done.
• Backups are overwritten within 30 days of deletion.
• If the law requires us to keep a specific record (for example, an invoice), we keep only that record and tell you so.
